The artists
Jerri Lisk
Jerri infuses hand-drawn sketches onto sanded aluminum sheets with vibrant acrylic paints. Each piece begins with a meticulous line drawing, which then serves as the foundation for layering colors that mirror the simplicity found in nature's design.
“Nature serves as my ultimate inspiration. Among all the subjects I capture, trees hold a special place in my heart. Their essence is defined by clean, uncomplicated lines, and they become my favorite models.”
Michael Thiele
Owner and founder of Hardwood Music Company, Michael designs and builds handcrafted melodic tongue drums from wood chosen for their fine aesthetic and singular acoustic character.
“The acoustic aesthetic of wood has enchanted me ceaselessly since the first moment I heard a piece of it ring. I tune a board for the simple purpose of hearing it ring and putting some songfulness to its voice. When we hear it we are given with a sense of wonder and delight.”
